BRIAN MAUS – SCULPTOR
Brian Maus, a resident of Clinton, MD, is a multi-media artist. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture and ceramics from George Washington University, Washington, DC. His master’s thesis entitled: “Totem Pole Carving: Sculpture of Identification,” is a study of the Northwest Coast Indian Sculpture. Mr. Maus has recently revisited the totems in Alaska.
Primarily a wood sculptor, Brian’s creativity includes furniture design, as well as individual pieces, which have been exhibited at art galleries in the Washington Metro area and New York City. His work encompasses artistic creations of pure form with a strong sense of original design. Many patrons have commissioned him to do original creations from ideas of their own.
